HENK WERKHOVEN – TALES FROM THE SWEET SEASONS

Solo performance. Acoustic. Genre: folk, semi-classical.

JIGGERY

Amsterdam area. Jazzrock band.

Genres: rock, jazzrock, pop rock.

Members:

- Henk Werkhoven: electric guitar, lead guitar.
- Jan Dingstee: electric guitar, lead guitar, vocals.
- Marc Lohmann: electric piano.
- Pieter Meurs: bass guitar.
- Wim Janssen: drums.

Although there has been several demo recordings, and a live registration, plans to realize an own (live) album and a single recording remained unfinished.


 
   
 
 

1975

HANS STOOP & HENK WERKHOVEN

Leiden. Occasional duo. Semi-acoustic. Genre: folk.

- Henk Werkhoven: acoustic guitar, semi-acoustic 12 string guitar, lead vocals.
- Hans Stoop: acoustic guitar, vocals.

The duo won the second prize, a development deal with Dutch record company Phonogram, in the Carlton Theatre, Eindhoven and were invited to make several demos in a professional recording studio. However, due to other music activities these demos remained unrecorded.

ORANGE SUNSHINE

Leiden. Rock band.

Genres: rock, psychedelic rock, symphonic rock, underground music.

As: The Orange Sunshine Band, 1977:

Occasional performance at the event: Return to the Sixties. With Dutch poets Johnny the Selfkicker (Johnny van Doorn) and Simon Vinkenoog.

Line-up:

- Henk Werkhoven: electric guitar, lead vocals.
- Jarco Hekman: electric guitar, lead guitar.
- Willem Mulder: electric guitar, lead guitar.
- Peter van den Burg: bass guitar.
- Aart van Klaveren: flute, vocals

Started in 1972 as: VIRGINITY SUITE, but changed the name after a few months in VIRGINITY.

Leiden. Semi-acoustic group.

Genres: folk, acoustic rock.

Started in 1972 as: IT’S A BEAUTEOUS EVENING, but changed the name after a while in: CALM AND FREE.

- Peter van den Burg: acoustic guitar, semi acoustic 12 string guitar, vocals.
